Air Commodore Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair is an elite Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter pilot and one of the four chosen astronauts (Gaganyatris) for India's premier human spaceflight program, Gaganyaan. He has commanded a premier Sukhoi Su-30 MKI squadron and holds an advanced engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Science.

On the global stage, Nair has completed rigorous international space training across Russia’s Star City, NASA's Johnson Space Center, and ISRO’s advanced facilities in Bengaluru.
