Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin is a trailblazing flag officer of the Indian Navy who currently serves as the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS). Appointed on October 1, 2024, she made history as the first woman to head the Tri-service AFMS, making her the highest-ranking female officer in the history of the Indian Armed Forces.
