Dr. Bhupen Hazarika was a legendary Indian musician, singer, poet, lyricist, and filmmaker from Assam. Widely known as the "Bard of Brahmaputra," he used his powerful voice and socially conscious music to promote universal brotherhood, peace, and humanism.

As a versatile multilingual artist, he created timeless musical classics in Assamese, Bengali, and Hindi, including the famous song "Dil Hoom Hoom Kare". In recognition of his immense cultural impact, he was honored with India's top awards, including the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and all three Padma honors, culminating in the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 2019.
