Dr. Kailasavadivu Sivan is a highly distinguished Indian aerospace engineer who served as the Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Secretary of the Department of Space from 2018 to 2022. Widely known as the "Rocket Man of India," he rose from humble beginnings as the son of a mango farmer in Tamil Nadu to become the first graduate in his family. He joined ISRO in 1982 and went on to spearhead critical space programs, including the high-profile Chandrayaan-2 lunar mission in 2019.
