Lieutenant Commander Dilna K is a pioneering Indian Navy officer from Kozhikode, Kerala. She joined the Navy in 2014 and became one of the first two women officers to receive the Shaurya Chakra. Alongside Lieutenant Commander Roopa A, she completed the Navika Sagar Parikrama II, sailing over 25,600 nautical miles across four oceans and overcoming severe storms and critical failures at sea.

She successfully commanded the monumental Navika Sagar Parikrama II expedition, completing a grueling double-handed global circumnavigation aboard the sailing vessel INSV Tarini. Alongside her crewmate, she spent nearly eight months at sea, navigating over 25,600 nautical miles without external assistance and overcoming violent oceanic storms, massive waves, and a critical power failure in the remote Pacific.
