New Model College Mangkolemba is situated on the foothills of Khar hills in Mangkolemba Town, a Sub-Division under Mokokchung district. This College is a nascent College of Humanities and Social Sciences, established by the Government of Nagaland in the year 2023 with due administrative approval. The foundation stone was laid on 23rd October 2018 by Shri. Temjen Imna Along, the then Hon’ble Minister of Higher Education & Technical Education, Govt. of Nagaland. The establishment of the college was initiated under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) project and is affiliated to Nagaland University. The College is committed to provide quality education to the needy students especially to the populace of three ranges under Mokokchung district. The college emphasises on holistic development with a focus on academic excellence and character building under the mentorship of dedicated faculty and supporting staff.
