Event Description
Arnav Maharshi is an inspiring 17-year-old innovator from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, who was honored with the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar in 2025 for his pioneering breakthroughs in medical AI software design. At just 14 years old, a severe road accident left Arnav partially paralyzed. Driven by his own grueling rehabilitation experience, he channeled his passion for physics and mathematics into creating affordable, "Made in India" healthcare solutions to help others facing similar physical challenges.
Summary
He developed a groundbreaking AI-driven software platform that tracks fine motor movements through standard phone or laptop cameras, giving paralysis and cerebral palsy patients vital real-time feedback during therapy. Complementing this software is his custom-engineered "Active Hand" wrist device, designed to assist and monitor upper-limb rehabilitation.
